macau four seasons hotel

A vast new Four Seasons Hotel has opened in Macao, the administrative region of China, as developers try to establish the region as a luxury tourist destination.

The opening of the 360-room resort, which is owned by US company Las Vegas Sands Corp but operated and managed by Four Seasons, comes just one year after Las Vegas Sands opened The Venetian Macao, a casino-cum-leisure resort based on the architecture of the Italian city.

The opening of the new hotel on Macao's Cotai Strip coincided with the world premier of Cirque du Soleil's Zaia show at the nearby Venetian Macao.
